Easy Digital Downloads – Taxamo Integration v1.3 Released

Today I’m delighted to announce the release v1.3 of Easy Digital Downloads – Taxamo Integration. This version fixes a fair few bugs, and is a recommended upgrade.

Speed Increase

One of the biggest bug bears for users on the site is the speed. The plugin was always quite slow due to the amount of API calls made on the site. Thanks to Nate Wright, we’ve started caching the API calls. This will hopefully speed up the site for the vast majority of your customers.

Other Improvements

Two bugs were also fixed in this release:-

• If the user’s IP country matches the shop country, we don’t automatically show the confirmation box. This was spotted by Taxamo’s team. By default the country in the billing address defaults to the shop’s country, so if these match, then there’s no need to show the box. This box will appear should the user change their Billing Country.
• If you refund an order made on your site before you installed this plugin, you used to see an error. This now no longer occurs.
