So it’s been a while I’ve done one of these posts, so I’d just like to say to all those attending Freelance Heroes Day 2019 – Dwi’n Rhys!
This is my first conference of 2019, which is strange going all the way to May without attending a conference, but I put it right tomorrow as I’ve a day out of the office (though it is a lot less sexy this as a freelancer) to head to Wolverhampton to attend Freelance Heroes Day! This is my first Freelance Heroes event, and first conference I’ve attended that isn’t WordPress or SEO related, and also my first time in Wolverhampton!
Who I’m looking to Meet
I guess I’m looking to meet designers/front end developers who are looking to expand their WordPress offering. I’m also keen to speak to small businesses and freelancers who are looking for WordPress advice (I’ve recently launched my WordPress Maintenance Packages so if I could maybe help out businesses who are unsure on how to secure their WordPress offering that would be amazing!). I’m also looking to meet fellow WordPress developers on how they are looking to grow, particularly with side projects (I’ve a few ideas of simple side projects that I’m looking to push out and iterate with), so I’d be interesting to see other people who have done the same!
I’m also looking for bloggers, particularly those with blogs on technology, WordPress, small businesses & freelancing. I’m looking to grow my business outside my traditional fields, and looking at places I can work with going forward.
So About Me
So, Hello – Dwi’n Rhys! I’m a WordPress developer (with previous community experience as a co-organiser of Manchester WordCamp 2017), WordCamp speaker, and commercial plugin author. You can check out my plugins eBay Feeds for WordPress, Inline Tweet Sharer & WP Taxi Me (as well as my other free plugins). You can use the code FHDAY25 to get 25% off any of my plugins until the end of the month.
If you’re going, please say hi (I’m wearing blue checkered shirt and some cracking Blue Adidas Gazelles, and sporting a fine beard). I’m looking forward to meeting and networking with you all!
