Today I’m delighted to announce the release of Inline Tweet Sharer & Inline Tweet Sharer Premium 2.5!

Bitly v4 Integration (and Depreciation of Bitly v3)

The first change is that we now use Bitly v4 integration within the plugin! This allows more security when creating bit.ly links as the links will be authorised in a stronger way (plus we’re using our own library to generate the links, meaning there’s less redundant code. This does mean that bitly links will no longer appear until you reauthenticate your account again, so please read the documentation and go through the setup process again. It will take two minutes and you haven’t lost any links, so you will want to do that first after upgrading Inline Tweet Sharer.

Premium Feature – Change the URL in the Tweetable text

You can now change the URL of the tweetable text. This is done with an added attribure in the shortcode – a ‘customurl’ attribute. So for example, if you share this on twitter this will link to the premium version of the page , rather than this page.
