Today I’m delighted to announce the release of WP eBay Product Feeds version 2.5 for both free & premium versions.

I’ve bumped the version number up to 2.5 as well, as whilst it’s a small update, it can affect the display of the feed on sites, so wanted to provide an update and what this means.

The “Disable Header” Option

So after this version, all your feeds will put a header in English saying “Latest Listings from eBay” on the header like on the plugin page. You can disable it by going to Settings > WP eBay Product Feeds to disable the header.

So why is this switched on by default?

Well a few weeks ago I was contacted by one of my plugin users saying that eBay have introduced a term whereby you have to indicate that the listings are from eBay. Failure to comply could disable your affiliate account. After speaking with the customer who did this he told me he didn’t. For safety I’ve put a default header in place. Obviously this can be disabled, but it’s recommended if you do disable it you put your own header in place instead.

Bug Fixes

There was also a small bug fix in the plugin. The default feed or items were not showing when the shortcode fields for this was left blank. This has now been fixed.
