WP eBay Product Feeds 3.1 Released!

After the rush release for WP eBay Product Feeds 3.0 and Auction Request, we’re back to normal with a sensible release, with a release of WP eBay Product Feeds free & premium 3.1.

This is a bunch of fixes that I didn’t have chance to release before the end of the month, so I’m releasing this now. There’s a couple of new features, one free & one premium, one potentially dev change that people need to be aware of, and a few extra features used to integrate with Auction Request.

Premium Changes – The “~~TITLE~~” Keyword

You can now use the keyword “~~TITLE~~” within your URL you include in your shortcode. This will replace the word ~~TITLE~~ with the title of the page you’re currently on. It’s a good idea to use this on internal pages, and it’ll save you from rebuilding the feed URL for every page. I’ve also introduced a filter – wp_ebay_product_feed_replacement_fields – so you can control what the ~~TITLE~~ outputs further.

Free & Premium Changes – The “ebay-feed-item-X” Class

We’ve now introduced a class – ebay-feed-item-x – which appears on every item. The x is replaced with an incremental number, allowing you to target each individual listing using JavaScript or CSS.

To implement this functionality, I’ve had to change a filter – ebay_feeds_for_wordpress_change_class_string now loads inside the loop, rather than outside it.

Other Bug Fixes

• I’ve introduced a “platform” variable added on the end of the URL’s, which can be used for debugging.
• Added a few changes which will hopefully see the plugin added to the new WP Block Directory.
• Fixed a typo within the Option Page.
