The longest serving plugin for Winwar Media, WP Email Capture was first released on the internet on 7th September 2009. It’s goal was simple, allow easy email capture within WordPress. A lot of solutions locked users lists into platforms, WP Email Capture instead provided a way to curate an email list on a WordPress site in a CSV format, that you could then import into dedicated email providers. It was open and simple, like WordPress.
Popular with affiliate marketers, a premium version was created 2 years after launch that added further capture fields, direct integration with mailing list software, and simple stat tracking and conversions.
