Today I’m delighted to announce the release of WP Flipclock 1.5! This version fixes a couple of bugs that cropped up in earlier versions.
Time Fixed For Non-UTC Timezones
This fixes a critical display bug, that the timing was slightly off dependant on your timezone – so if you are not in the GMT timezone, your timing was off by how many hours difference there is between the UTC and the location. As such, it’s a pretty much crucial update if you want to have truly accurate time.
Negative Time Not Shown
One bug that existed in flipclock.js was that if the time had passed in the countdown, it showed negative time. I’ve placed a check so that if this is the case, rather than display a negative number, it will show zero, meaning it is neater.
A huge thank you to gleave75 on Github who discovered this bug regarding the time being out.
